![]() ![]() The DIY bookends look so great on the bookshelf makeover we did. This project took less than thirty minutes to make and I used products I already had on hand. ![]() Viola! I have some great bookends that incorporate some fun numbers in the office! I painted the scrap wood with the gold paint as well. Then, Matt cut scrap wood from the garage in about 3″ pieces to screw into the back of each of the number. Once that dried, I painted the bottom portion of the number with Gold Modern Masters Paint. To make these wood numbers DIY bookends, I first stained them with Dark Walnut Minwax Stain. (I used the 2 and the 5 for the bookends, but stained the other numbers to so I could add them to our home in other places. I just grabbed the four numbers they had and knew I would find a fun project for them. They can represent whatever you want them too or they don’t have to represent anything. I don’t know what it is about them, but numbers can be a lot of fun when you add them to your decor. I picked up these wood numbers at a yard sale this past summer because I love numbers.
